March 11, 2015 - Longtime MEDITECH customer Citizens Memorial Hospital (Bolivar, MO) was recently recognized for improving patient safety and reducing readmissions, as a participant in the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) Partnership for Patients’ Hospital Engagement Network.
This initiative represents the largest quality improvement effort ever undertaken by CMS and its partner agencies. Over a two-year period, Citizens achieved a 40 percent reduction in all harm categories and a 20 percent reduction in hospital readmissions.
