Now, Avera can add another feather to its cap, this time for Stage 2 Meaningful Use attestation.
Under the Eligible Hospitals category, all 24 Avera hospitals that attested for Meaningful Use Stage 2 have passed, which means all Avera hospitals in their current stage of Meaningful Use passed during their 90-day attestation.
In addition, 98.3% (342 out of 348) of eligible providers within the Avera organization have met the metrics and attested for their applicable stage of Meaningful Use. 97.3% (545 out of 560) of all professionals with eligible credentialing in the various relationships Avera maintains and manages (including joint venture and independent providers) also met the requirements.
Industry-wide, only 13% of eligible professionals have successfully attested, according to the latest CMS data.
