Customer EHR Patient Safety Advisory Board Compact

As members of MEDITECH’s Customer EHR Patient Safety Advisory Board, we agree to the following expectations in this compact:

  • Align ourselves with industry standards to support the Board’s patient safety initiatives

  • Support MEDITECH’s Patient Safety Event process by communicating and managing software issues related to patient safety, healthcare operations, PHI/privacy, and security

  • Promote a culture of openness by reporting patient safety concerns and experiences to MEDITECH’s internal EHR Patient Safety Review Board

  • Assist in the advancement of MEDITECH’s software by actively providing guidance and feedback on board initiatives

  • Respect different opinions, regardless of tenure and title, as all members are empowered to bring forward ideas, questions, and concerns

  • Participate in MEDITECH's Customer EHR Patient Safety Advisory Board meetings by bringing forward ideas for improvements, as well as sharing patient safety initiatives and lessons learned

  • Maintain the highest ethical practices when interacting with members of the internal and external Patient Safety Boards

  • Attend ongoing learning opportunities in safety, science, and culture, and disseminate pertinent information to the internal and external Patient Safety Boards

  • Advise MEDITECH’s internal EHR Patient Safety Review Board on best practices, workflow, and industry priorities to drive the evolution of the MEDITECH EHR.
