Ambulatory Strides

MEDITECH announces new direction and leadership for our Ambulatory solution.

Carol Labadini Ambulatory MEDITECH is excited to announce two leadership changes. Associate Vice President Carol Labadini is now responsible for the development, implementation, and support of our Ambulatory solution. She will report to Hoda Sayed-Friel, executive vice president of strategy and marketing.

“We are fortunate to have Hoda and Carol leading our Ambulatory efforts,” says Howard Messing, president and CEO. “The combination of Hoda’s vision and leadership with Carol’s expertise, strengthens our future and ensures MEDITECH will maintain its leadership position.”

“This is an opportunity to bring new energy to our Ambulatory efforts,” says Labadini. “We’ve got major product enhancements, centered around usability and mobility, ready for release in 2013. Moving forward, I will more deeply align Minnesota with Massachusetts and incorporate all of MEDITECH’s best practices and game-changing approaches.”

As MEDITECH’s executive vice president of strategy and marketing, Sayed-Friel charts the company’s strategic direction and oversees the evolution of MEDITECH as an EHR vendor. “This is a very exciting time for MEDITECH and LSS. Our Ambulatory solution is where the intersection of strategic direction and product development is most critical,” says Sayed-Friel. “I’m looking forward to helping Carol improve our existing solution, and at the same time, rapidly advancing our new web-based EHR for both new and current customers.”

Labadini began her MEDITECH career in 1991, and spent many years supporting our nursing and physician products. In the late 1990s, she played a key role coordinating early adopter customers when MEDITECH released its Client/Server platform. She was promoted to associate vice president in 2011.

Sayed-Friel joined MEDITECH in 1986, after starting her career as a medical technologist and education coordinator at New England Baptist Hospital. After playing a leading role in developing MEDITECH’s advanced clinical products, she was promoted to vice president of marketing in 2005. Earlier this year, MEDITECH’s Board of Directors promoted to her to executive vice president of strategy and marketing.
