Optimizing Care Delivery Together

April 2, 2014 - At MEDITECH’s recent Nurse Advisory Committee (NAC) meeting, Associate Vice President Cathy Turner, RN, shared information with members on a variety of topics which included the annual Nurse and Home Care Forum, project and member updates, and nurse-specific Focus Group sessions and details.

"We are committed to working together as a team so that you can deliver the highest level of quality patient-centered care across all care settings and environments," says Turner as she opened discussions and addressed NAC members. "We appreciate the contributions you make to our products because this allows us to provide you with the tools you need to improve outcomes, coordinate care, and keep your patients engaged."

In fact, June’s Nurse and Home Care Forum will focus on many of the tools and functionality designed to help customers reach their patient care and industry-related goals and measures.

"This year’s Forum promises to be just as engaging, if not more so, than in years past," says Turner. "We have pre-conference optimization sessions planned for our MAGIC, C/S, and 6.x customers, our Nurse Executives have an afternoon of education and activities designed just for them, and we have invited renowned industry leaders to speak and share their expertise. Sessions will highlight customer initiatives, the latest product offerings, and there will be plenty of networking opportunities as well as contact hours for many of the sessions."

After the Nurse and Home Care Forum update, the meeting’s discussions focused on Development projects and MEDITECH’s Focus Group initiatives. Some key Development project updates included IV Infusion and Titration enhancements, Surgical Pre-Admission Testing, Critical Care Desktop, and a Toolset for Nurse Executives.

"We encourage you to get involved and join our nurse-related Focus Groups," says Turner. "We value your feedback and want your input on the design and functionality of our new and existing products throughout all stages of the development cycle."

If you haven't already, remember there is still time to register for our annual Nurse and Home Care Forum June 11th to the 13th at the Boston Marriott Quincy.

"We will continue to bring you more exciting details and information about the Forum in the weeks ahead," says Turner. "Stay tuned, and we look forward to seeing you in June!"
