MEDITECH Home Care 2.5 Financial Enhancements
In part two of MEDITECH’s four-part Home Care 2.5 Enhancement series, we will share information about our top three financial enhancements.
Clients will be able to analyze the profitability of payer contracts, see greater integration between authorizations and orders, and set the system to automatically split bills.
1. Payer Contracts
- MEDITECH’s Home Care 2.5 allows for complex billing scenarios, including work shifts, Resource Class-level, visit-level, or care-step level billing specifics.
- Hospice per-diem charges can be broken down by level-of-care to accommodate any potential differences at each level.
- Each payer contract can be analyzed for profitability.
- 30 days prior to the expiration of a payer contract, the system will remind the user so the contract can be updated in a timely manner.
2. Patient-Specific Authorizations
- When orders do not have authorization, Home Care 2.5 will generate an Authorize Payer task to guide the user through the authorization of those orders.
- Agencies have the same flexibility to accommodate complex billing scenarios on a patient-specific level that exists in Payer Contracts.
3. Split Billing
- Payer Dictionary enhancements allow your agency to set up payers which will automatically split claims based on what the payer will or will not cover.
