Critical Care Desktop and Flowsheet (6.1)

Lead: Melissa McDermott

The Critical Care Desktop is being designed to match clinician workflow in specialty areas, such as the Intensive Care and Cardiac Care units, where traditional care plans are not practical. The streamlined design will give care providers the ability to document and review data from a single screen. Some of the planned features include the ability to combine data from different sources, such as Medications and Lab Values, the ability to view cardiac wave forms, and a new Snapshot menu option that will allow customizable views for change of shift, transfer, or patient summary information.
  • (2/11/2015) The initial release of Critical Care is complete and has been delivered to our three early adopters! We have continued to work on making further improvements based on feedback from our customer usability testing sessions. We are putting the final touches on a new tool to improve the display of cumulative values such as Intake and Output. More usability sessions are scheduled for February to make sure we've hit the mark with this new feature.
  • (10/1/2014) The initial release of our Critical Care project is now complete and will be delivered to our first early adopter in October 2014. We thank all of our customers who participated in our Focus Group and Usability Testing sessions! We will be continuing our Critical Care Focus Group for at least one more session as we further refine our Cumulative Intake and Output displays. We hope to see you there!
