October 7, 2021 - As part of MEDITECH’s agile development, large functionality changes may encompass multiple linked enhancements. These enhancements may cross priority packs with functionality unavailable for use until a final On Story is coded. Please refer to this customer announcement for additional details on how to distinguish On Story changes. There are also scenarios where functionality is immediately available, but additional supporting changes are coded for a future release.
There are internal controls based on the development progress of related Dev IDs that impact the ability for users to search and/or view testing details. Dev IDs still in the early development stages may not be published for external access.
In the Individual Requests search, when entering a Dev ID that is not yet available, users will receive the message "Your search includes XXX, which is either not a valid ID or is still being developed. Try modifying your search criteria or discuss with a MEDITECH specialist for availability."
When users receive this message, please confirm the correct Dev ID(s) were entered in the search bar. If the Dev ID was valid, then this message indicates the change is not yet externally published. Please contact your MEDITECH specialist if you need additional details.
To help direct users to related functionality, Development may reference specific Dev IDs in testing statements or as a Linked Issue. When viewing individual Dev IDs there may be a statement notifying users of the requirement of an On Story to enable functionality if applicable, or reference to other future Dev IDs.
The Linked Issues section of an individual Dev ID can also provide indication of additional associations. When the related Dev ID is not yet fully developed, users may be unable to view it, or receive limited information until it is complete.
