June 19, 2015 - Alberta Health Service (Calgary, AB) and MEDITECH recently joined forces to prepare more than 23,000 clinicians and administrators in the province’s 110 acute care hospitals. Our goal — to ensure AHS staff transitioned to 5.67 as smoothly as possible. The organization-wide EHR update brings aesthetic and functional improvements from the prior release. In addition, the new version positions AHS for the next phase of their advanced clinical rollout. “MEDITECH has always been right there with us, helping to determine the best plan for moving forward with the changeover,” says Michael Cleghorn, executive director information technology at AHS. “We’ve had an overwhelmingly positive response to the update, and to how well everyone worked together,” continues Cleghorn. “AHS has been with MEDITECH for over 25 years, and this project showed how strong and deep-rooted our partnership is,” says Cleghorn.
